  • Do you accept my health insurance plan?

    Please refer to our Insurance page to review a list of accepted insurance providers.

  • How do I make an appointment?
    Please call the Advocare Healthy Minds South Jersey office at (856) 751-4116 to set up an appointment with you. During this time, we will discuss your situation and needs as well. If you are unable to reach us, please leave your contact information and the best time to return the call. We will call you back shortly to then set up an appointment.

    All of our office visits are by appointment only. We ask that you arrive at our office 10 - 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you to complete any necessary paperwork and to update any demographic and insurance changes. If you must cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer that time to someone else.

  • What happens at the first appointment?
    Your initial appointment usually lasts for about 60 minutes. This a good amount of time to explore your situation in depth. It will help us decide with you what the best treatment approach going forward would be. Adequate time is given for a thorough, comprehensive medical and psychiatric history. We will address your problems and concerns, and discuss with you various treatment modalities appropriate for your situation utilizing pros and cons.

    After your first appointment, we may decide to gather further information from other doctors that you have seen previously, as well as lab and imaging results. We will be in liaison with your primary care doctor and any specialist you see in order to work as a team with them to optimize your care.
  • What happens at subsequent appointments?
    Follow up visits usually last for about 30 minutes. He will review your progress to determine how effective the current treatment approach is.

    The efficacy of medications and any side effects will be carefully reviewed. He will also review other conjunctive therapies, such as psychotherapy.

    Follow up appointments will be based on the patient's situation. They can range from weekly to around every 3 months. Typically, they are monthly upon starting treatments.
  • Can I use my insurance?
    If you do not have insurance coverage, we do accept self pay patients as well.

    The insurance list may not be complate. If your insurance is not listed please call our office to enquire

    At the time of service, payment is required by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    Failure to cancel an appointment 48 hours in advance means that another patient loses the opportunity to fill in that time slot.

    Please note that if you fail to cancel 48 hours ahead of time and do not show up for your appointment you may incur no show fee charge
  • Where can I park?
    There is ample parking at Executive Mews. You are able to access it either through Rt 70 or Springdale Rd.

    If you use google maps to navigate it will bring you to the parking lot ouside the office

    Our office is located at Executive Quarters (Building Q).
  • What do I do in case of an emergency?
    You should call 911 / 988 or proceed to your nearest emergency room. If it is out of office hours and the problem CANNOT wait until the following morning, please call our office at 856-751-4116.
  • How do I get my prescriptions renewed?
    Please call the practice several days ahead of the renewal date and leave your request on our voice mail (856-751-4116). Ordinarily, this will take 24-48 hours, so please do not leave your request for a refill at the last minute. If there is a change of pharmacy, make sure you make us aware of that in your message. Otherwise, your script may go to an older pharmacy on your record causing delays and confusion. Please do not move between different pharmacies frequently without good reason, as this may also cause unnecessary confusion.
  • Are you accepting new patients?

    Yes, we always welcome new patients to our practice! Please see the list of insurances that we accept under the "Office Info-Insurances" Menu Tab.

  • What days are you open?

    Our office is open Monday through Friday and Saturday for part of the day.

    Our typical office hours Monday through Friday are 8 AM till 6 PM. On Saturdays our office is open from 9AM till 2 PM.

    On occasions office hours may change, please call us at 856-751-4116 to confirm office hours.
